The Biasca Club House: Where Camp Becomes Adventure

When we talk about ice hockey, we usually focus on what happens on the ice: the on-ice sessions, the world-class coaches, the station method, the video analysis. All of this is essential and represents the essence of the IHS Summer Hockey Camp. But there's an equally valuable dimension to this experience, which the kids often remember with the same fondness as the more intense sessions: the time spent together off the ice.

For the Biasca camp, IHS has chosen Ostello Cresciano (www.ostellocresciano.ch) as its Club House, a welcoming facility immersed in the wild nature of the Canton of Ticino, in the heart of the Riviera Valley, just a few kilometers from the ice rink. More than just a place to sleep: a base camp for passions, as their very philosophy dictates, and a place where coexistence among kids from different nationalities and cultures becomes an integral part of their growth.

The structure: comfort and team spirit in Switzerland

Ostello Cresciano is located in the hamlet of Cresciano, in the municipality of Riviera, in the Canton of Ticino, easily accessible from Bellinzona towards Biasca. The facility offers 25 beds in dorm rooms for three and four-five people, designed to foster the socialization and team spirit that distinguishes every IHS experience.

The two fully equipped kitchens allow the IHS staff to prepare meals every day with care and attention to sports nutrition: breakfast, lunch, and dinner follow a balanced menu tailored to the needs of growing athletes, with at least 3,000 calories per day, rich in protein, complex carbohydrates, and micronutrients to sustain the intensity of the camp. A hearty breakfast before sessions, lunch in the gym, and a hot dinner in the evening upon returning from training: nothing is left to chance.

"Spending a week side by side with kids from Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Belgium, the United States, Canada, etc., is priceless. The friendships formed here last for years." — IHS Staff

The 25 beds in the Baita will only accommodate 18 children, plus 3 instructors, 2 chaperones from the International Hockey School, and two other people who will be in charge of cooking dinner and breakfast (parents are excluded; the Club House is reserved exclusively for children). We therefore invite interested children to book as soon as possible to avoid being left out.

An experience that goes beyond the ice

Anyone who has participated in a residential camp knows it: the hours spent off the field are what build a true sense of belonging to a team. Waking up at the same time, having breakfast together, sharing common areas, organizing a soccer game in the garden or a barbecue evening, sharing experiences in different languages—all of this forges the human bonds that make camp an unforgettable memory.

IHS deeply believes in this dimension. That's why the staff team is always present, not only to supervise the children's safety 24/7, but to liven up their free time with recreational activities, organize team moments, and create a warm atmosphere that makes every child, regardless of their nationality, feel part of something special.

The Canton of Ticino adds an additional element of charm: the region's mild climate, immersed in a rare natural beauty of mountains, rivers, and forests, transforms every break from training into an opportunity for discovery and wonder. Italian-speaking Switzerland is a unique landscape, where Alpine traditions, Italian culture, and a quality of life among the highest in the world coexist.

The Biasca camp is the first of summer 2026—June 22-27. Space is limited. Early bird gets to choose.
