The Bressanone Club House: the Vinzentinum, where excellence has a home.

There are places that impress you even before you enter. A few steps down the entrance path, a glance at the imposing façade, the towers, the courtyards, and the corridors that seem to tell centuries of history, and you immediately realize you're somewhere extraordinary. The Vinzentinium in Bressanone is exactly that: a historic institution that for the kids at the IHS Summer Hockey Camp transforms into something reminiscent of Hogwarts—without the magic, but with something equally powerful: an experience of sport, growth, and community in one of the most beautiful settings in South Tyrol.

Founded in 1872 by Prince Bishop Vinzenz Gasser as a minor seminary, the Vinzentinium is located at Via Brennero 37, in the heart of Bressanone, a bilingual (Italian and German) city nestled between the Dolomites and the Isarco Valley. During the summer months, when students leave their spaces, the facility opens its doors to sports and youth groups, becoming one of the most extraordinary locations on the entire IHS circuit.

The structure: historical excellence, modern services

The Vinzentinium can accommodate up to 180 people in double, triple, and quadruple rooms—spaces designed for community living, simply furnished yet equipped with every necessary service, including shared bathrooms and showers. It's a facility that combines the solidity of historic architecture with the functionality required by a group of young athletes who need to rest well, recover from intensive sessions, and recharge for the next day.

The Italian cuisine follows a sports menu tailored to the athletes' needs: each meal is designed to provide the macronutrients needed during a week of intensive training. A hearty breakfast with bread, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, and cereals to start the day full of energy; lunch at the ice rink during camp; a hearty dinner featuring a first course, a second course with lean meat, and a side of fresh vegetables for overnight muscle recovery. Nothing is left to chance, because nutrition is as integral to the IHS program as the sessions on the ice.

"When you're in a facility like this, you wake up every morning with a different feeling. You don't even feel like you're going to work out. You feel like you're living in a movie." — IHS Staff

The Club House is reserved exclusively for young people, so we invite interested young people to book as soon as possible to avoid being left out. All others will stay in the hotel, always looked after by our staff.

Bressanone: a context that enriches the experience

The choice of Bressanone as the location for the camp is no coincidence. This city is one of the most beautiful in South Tyrol: bilingual (Italian and German), rich in medieval history, surrounded by vineyards, mountains, and the scent of South Tyrolean traditions. Training here means breathing in the unique atmosphere of Central European hockey every day—the same atmosphere found in the most prestigious clubs in Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, countries from which many of the IHS coaches hail.

The Bressanone ice rink is a modern facility, built to the highest European standards, used by professional teams for summer camps. Every morning, the kids leave the Vinzentinium and head out onto the ice, ready for their training sessions, and every evening they return to their base at the Vinzentinium, perfectly tired, their heads full of new moves learned, mistakes corrected, and real progress.

Being at the Vinzentinium is an experience worth living. When a kid returns home after a week here, it's not just their game that has changed. He's changed.

Emotional Growth: The Invisible Dimension of Camp

IMG 1257 dimensioni medie

Whether in Biasca, Bressanone, or Fondo, choosing a Club House isn't just a logistical choice. It's an educational one. Living together for a week—waking up at the same time, sharing bathrooms, taking turns in the kitchen, respecting the facility's rules, managing your own space, organizing your own equipment—is life training as important as the one on the ice.

The kids who participate in IHS camps come from over 20 countries: Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Belgium, the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, and many others. Sharing the same space, eating at the same table, joking in the same kitchens—overcoming language barriers with the only language everyone understands, hockey—is an experience of openness and emotional growth that no school can teach in a classroom.

This is why 70% of the kids who participate in an IHS camp return the following year, and many leave the facility already booked for the following year. And not just because they've learned new skating techniques or improved their shot. But because in those six days they experienced something authentic, together with other young people who shared the same passion, in a place they will not easily forget.
