Experience has taught us that concentrating the work of children for several days on a single discipline is not productive, after the first few days they begin to lose stimulus and concentration, which is why we prefer to let them focus every day on each discipline. Powerskating, Shooting, Stickhandling, Passing, 1: 1-2: 2-3: 3 fundamental elements of good training that we prefer to teach using the "station training" method. Our on-ice training stations are designed to overload a player's motor skills, the goal is to simulate the pressures of real game situations and force players to handle multiple skills at once. The hands, feet and brain work together under extreme pressure to improve exercise execution and overall game performance. In this way we have seen that the players' attention is always alive, they pay attention to the exercise and face the new station with enthusiasm and spirit of initiative. Two sessions a day of On-Ice training, to keep the level of attention high our camps are limited in number, generally we do not accept more than 30 boys per group who in turn are divided into working groups on the ice using the method of station training. In this way the coach's concentration on the students is optimal and so is that of the players in the execution of the exercises.Our workouts are designed to overload a player's motor skills. the goal is to simulate the pressures of real game situations and force players to manage multiple skills at the same time.
From this year we have introduced Yoga Vyniasa sessions, a dynamic discipline that finds great use in the physical training of Hockey players by contributing to the improvement of breathing control. Subsequently in the Off-ice training following the LTAD model, training sessions will be developed including exercises, circuits and sets that will work on the fundamental qualities a hockey player needs: basic motor patterns, agility, stability, explosive strength, strength. maximal and aerobic power, in order to give athletes the basis for training correctly.
The formation of a good player is not just a physical matter, a good athlete can be said to be complete when he has mastered all aspects related to his sport. For this reason we have also introduced lessons in Theory of Schemes, Theory of Rules and Referee Signals and some English lessons which never hurt having all international coaches. Let's not forget the video analysis, which at first apparently boring are actually a very effective tool to point out to the player where he makes the mistake.
Stickhandling is the art of controlling the puck through the stick, learning to manage hand eye coordination, being able to bring the puck where the mind wants is essential for a good player not only to steal or avoid being stolen the puck during a action but it becomes really fundamental when you get close to the goalkeeper and you have the possibility to put the puck in the net
.
